College Credit Courses

Workforce Leadership Program (WFL)

A variety of courses are offered in conjunction with the Workforce Leadership Program (WFL). The WFL program was developed as a joint venture between the Center for Business and Professional Development (CBPD) and the Fort Smith Manufacturing Executives Association (FSMEA). Thousands of managers, supervisors, and potential leaders from more than 100 companies have benefited from the program. The FSMEA continues to sponsor the program on campus while economic development organizations and individual companies sponsor the program throughout the state.

The WFL program is designed to provide career-building leadership knowledge and skills for students to advance in industry and face the challenges of competing in global markets. Emphasis is placed on principles and tools of quality, leadership, Lean Six Sigma and development of interpersonal and team performance computer skills. The program is primarily online with some classes available in a hybrid format.
